Bismika Allahumma amootu wa ahya.

In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would say this when lying down to sleep, and upon waking he would say: 'All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.'

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6324
2Repeat 3x

Allahumma qini 'adhabaka yawma tab'athu 'ibadak.

O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say this when going to sleep, placing his right hand under his cheek.

Abu Dawud 5045, At-Tirmidhi 3398
3Repeat 33/33/34

SubhanAllah (33 times), Alhamdulillah (33 times), Allahu Akbar (34 times).

Glory be to Allah (33 times), All praise is for Allah (33 times), Allah is the Greatest (34 times). When Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) for a servant, he taught her to say these before sleeping, saying it would be better for her than a servant.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5362, Sahih Muslim 2727

Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih.

Ayat Al-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255) - Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 2311 (Hadith of Abu Hurayrah)

The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285-286). The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers... Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred... Our Lord, and do not burden us with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever recites these two verses at night, they will suffice him.

Sahih Al-Bukhari 5009, Sahih Muslim 807
